A place for North Slope recreaters to check current conditions and happenings. Please post a note when ever you return from an outing in the Uintas, so that others will know what to expect.

I received an interesting email this morning.  Most of us have used the SnoTel data for our own purposes - to see what the weather is like before we set out for an outing on the North Slope of the Uintas.   I guess I had not spent much time pondering what happens to all that data.  Mary Ann Wilson sent a link to the data accumulation, integration and interpretation of the raw data from the Lily Lake SnoTel.  It also includes the historical data, which is available for download.  This is some fascinating stuff.  Ya gotta love the internet!

Mary Ann also includes the location of the data for the Burton Miller Ranch Snotel just north of the Lily Lake unit

and the Hayden Fork Snotel, southwest of Lily Lake

Thanks Mary Ann.  We will add those links to the new site when it is up an running.
