trail update

We might be in for a slight change in the weather pattern, they are
predicting a storm system that might produce 2-6" of cold light dust.
Although this won't add much to our base, it should give the trails a
fresh look. We will continue to groom as long as the conditions will allow
us. On Friday February 2, the International Pedigree Stage Stop Sled Dog
Race will start at the north slope gate at 10:00am, people are encouraged
to watch and cheer on these amazing athletes. Have a safe and fun visit.

Lily Lake ski trail conditions

This past weekend we did receive 4-6" of new snow which helped to freshen
things up and has added to our ski base. The trail system should be
groomed and ready for the weekend and we will continue to pack and set
tracks as conditions allow.

trail conditions for 1/15-21/07

__________________

Despite any new snow the skiing still remains quite good. Our cold
temperatures have kept the tracks preserved and I guess we should feel
fortunate that we do not live in the smog filled city. All trails should
be groomed and tracks set for the weekend. This message posted by Ted at
the Forest Service.

Went out on the Aspen track today which was worthwhile. The trail is
plowed and groomed and is good for skate skiers as well as Nordic. Have
fun.

Golf course and State Park update

I started out at the golf course but the parking lot wasn't even plowed
and it
looked as windswept as last weekend. Headed out to the state park today.
They have
set tracks where there is enough snow. The trai; is a little thin in
spots but
across the river they have laid down a snowmachine trail which works
well. ON the
south side across the river, there are tracks to the metal bridge and then
around
back to huff and pull hill. I went up on top where there are tracks when
possible.
It is thin in many spots for doable. There are tracks from the second
fence down to
the information center. It was worth it despite the temps. Anybody been
out to the
Uintas?

As of Thursday afternoon, we have received 3-4 inches of new snow. All
trails have been groomed and will monitor this storm as to the need for
additional grooming. This message posted by Ted at the Forest Service.

Went out to the golf course on Sat. It was too windy and wind blown to bother with again. On Saturday and Sunday, the park was much better if you kept to the bottom trails. The snow was nice with only a few bare spots on the trail. Across the river and back behind the bridge to Huff & Puff hill the skiing was very good. The topside was deer trodden and wind blown so it would be better to wait until there's more snow again. Margaret MaGee

trail update for 1/1-7/07

We have begun grooming and setting tracks with our snow cat this past
weekend. Despite how busy things were over the holiday break, the trails
have held up pretty well. Our schedule is to use Thursday's as the main
grooming day with Friday and Saturday's as additional days if needed.
Enjoy your visit.
