Instead of a business meeting in April we have planned on Kathy Bella presenting a slide show on her trip to New Zealand. We had planned on the 11th, but due to the guest speaker having problems with that date we will have the meeting on the 18th of April at 6 pm.

The location is not yet finallized.  We will let you know when that is confirmed.

These are the dates for BRORA Work days.
  • June 10 (River Fest)
  • June 16 (Yurt work day)
  • July 14 (Yurt Work day)
  • August 11 (Yurt work day)
  • Sept 15 (Yurt work day)
  • Oct 20 (Yurt work day)
The board has approved replacing the outer skin and the door on the East Fork Yurt.

Also we will replace the outer skin on the Lily Lake Yurt.

The Bear Claw will recieve a new dome to replace the broken one.

We still have to clean up the Warming hut mess. The board has not yet decided weather to rebuild the warming hut or give up on that location.  The forest service from the Ogden district has offered Rick a couple of unused yurts.  It may be possible to place one at the Warming Hut. The fear of more vandalism is a big worry at that location.

All that along with our regular cleaning and maintanace We will need all the help we can get this summer

We have finished grooming for the season, the warm temperatures have melted
too much of the snow and prevented us from getting our equipment to the
trail system. There is still some good skiing left, it's just a matter of
timing to hit the right conditions. Enjoy the spring and see you next
year. Message posted by Ted at the Forest Service.

We are continuing to groom, but on a very limited basis. These warm
temperatures are difficult to groom in and as long as we can operate our
equipment without damaging it we will keep going. The skiing is still
quite good if you can time it when the trail is beginning to soften and
don't forget about the crust cruising. Have a safe visit. Message posted

Well, winter is back to the north slope of the Uintas, we are starting to
measure the new snow in feet rather than in inches! I would say that it is
some of the best skiing of the season right now and with sunshine
forecasted for the weekend, it should be a beautiful time to hit the trail.
We have been busy all week grooming keeping the trails packed in, we did
receive a lot of wind with Tuesday's storm and it's taking longer to get
everything cleared. Enjoy your visit. This message posted by Ted at the
