snow above Ruth Lake was classical on 6/17. No snow until lake. On top it was pock
marked with melt but coming down in the trees was sensational at times. My O2
saturation dropped fron 98 to 94% on top. Pulse rose from its usual 50 to 70! Boy
scouts all over the lake when I came down about 11:00 am. Tony

The High Uintas Classic Bike Race is this weekend 6/17 and 6/18. The Over the Top race has become a great event. The race needs volunteers in a number of capacities for a smooth running operation. Anyone who would like to become involved and support the race please contact Paul Knopf at (cell) 307 679-3487 or planning@mail.evanstonwy.org. He will let you know how you can help. It will be a lot of fun, too.

BRORA meeting

Don't miss the BRORA meeting this evening.  We will be planning the building of the new yurt on Boundary Creek, among other things.

The June BRORA meeting had to be moved from the Bear River Pavilion to the Evanston Recreation center board room.

I will be on the road at the snow line Sat. 6/3 for the nordic trip on the Ruth Lake trail at 10:00 a.m. Sat. It is about a 40 minute ski up the road to the trailhead. Because the road is not open and the 40 minute prelude, I plan to be at the trail head again 6/17 this time at 8:00 a.m. (if the weather is good) to catch the crust. Bring lunch. Tony
